An accumulator (called a parlay in the US) chains multiple individual bets into one. The odds multiply together, creating larger potential payouts but requiring every selection to win. One loss means the entire accumulator loses.

A 4-fold accumulator: Selection A (1.50) × Selection B (1.80) × Selection C (1.65) × Selection D (1.40) = combined odds of 6.24. A $10 bet returns $62.40 — but all four must win.
03 Why It Matters
Accumulators are extremely popular with recreational bettors because of the excitement and large potential payouts. However, they are mathematically unfavorable because the vig compounds on each leg. Professional bettors almost never use accumulators.
